​ I ​first​ ​met​ ​Ankith​ ​Maremanda​ ​when​ ​he​ ​reached​ ​out​ ​to​ ​my​ ​school​ ​about​ ​starting​ ​an​ ​anatomy​ ​club​ ​for​ ​our students.​ ​Throughout​ ​his​ ​time​ ​with​ ​Robert​ ​Randall​ ​Elementary,​ ​I​ ​had​ ​the​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​work​ ​with​ ​him​ ​as​ ​he began​ ​the​ ​Human​ ​Anatomy​ ​for​ ​Youth,​ ​or​ ​‘HAY’​ ​club.
Ankith​ ​did​ ​a​ ​wonderful​ ​job​ ​of​ ​creating​ ​lessons​ ​for​ ​elementary​ ​students.​ ​He​ ​mapped​ ​out​ ​a​ ​full​ ​sequence​ ​of lessons​ ​that​ ​would​ ​cover​ ​all​ ​of​ ​the​ ​major​ ​body​ ​systems​ ​throughout​ ​the​ ​year,​ ​and​ ​the​ ​content​ ​was​ ​enjoyable​ ​for the​ ​students​ ​that​ ​participated.​ ​One​ ​thing​ ​that​ ​Ankith​ ​did​ ​to​ ​really​ ​engage​ ​students​ ​was​ ​to​ ​create​ ​a​ ​prize incentive​ ​for​ ​students​ ​that​ ​did​ ​well​ ​on​ ​the​ ​informal​ ​quizzes.
My​ ​students​ ​that​ ​were​ ​able​ ​to​ ​take​ ​part​ ​in​ ​his​ ​lessons​ ​developed​ ​a​ ​better​ ​understanding​ ​of​ ​human​ ​body structure​ ​and​ ​function.​ ​It​ ​was​ ​a​ ​great​ ​experience​ ​for​ ​them​ ​to​ ​get​ ​more​ ​exposure​ ​to​ ​this​ ​incredibly​ ​important science.​ ​I​ ​would​ ​recommend​ ​working​ ​with​ ​Ankith​ ​to​ ​give​ ​your​ ​students​ ​a​ ​new​ ​insight​ ​to​ ​the​ ​inner​ ​working​ ​of​ ​the human​ ​body.
